Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven or until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
